just to share

July 2005 I gave birth to two sweet girls, Pippi & Cato. Cato unfortunately died halfway my pregnancy and was born together with our Pip at 31 weeks. Pip happily being a healthy, beautiful and strong little girl. As time passed by, 50% became more than 100%, grateful for and in love with our Pip. But still after more than seven years we miss our precious daughter Cato.
Since a few weeks an identical twin was born in my Instagram timeline. Two cute litte girls. And seeing all those wonderful pictures I still feel so much sorrow.
Also realizing it is special to know Cato would look just like Pip.
And tonight I saw this amazing picture on Pinterest, symbolizing the strong bond between our lovely daughters. Love forever!

Recently three bogging stylist founded two great webshops.
April&May and le petit bird told me started byApril&May. A store selling their own graphic collection, vases, stationary and other basic and beautiful accessories in the typical byApril&May style, called ★ a beautiful love affair for things that are out there ★
Visje bij de thee sells lovely kitchen and living accessories in great pastels. And also some cute crocheted child stuff.

Enjoy and buy the taste of these talented dutch stylists!

counting my blessings

There are so many blessings to count when spending a whole week at home with the kids. With lots of sleepovers for the kids, crafting, backing cakepops, two birthday parties to join for Pip including riding on a donkey, visiting the thriftshop together with Langius Design and enjoying the spring in october :)
And perhaps most of all enjoying to let go off my long to-do list. Focusing on what is most important in life at this moment!

Artis de Partis part I

via: vt wonen

I'm in love with Artis de Partis!
For me it symbolizes visiting Artis with the kids. On one occasion we bought the very cute Artis de Partis hat for Floor and a couple of small key rings. And last april we found our large knitted Artis de Partis at the Queens market in Amsterdam.

But Artis the Partis is more than just a nice Artis mascotte. He is a great interior item spotted in lots of nurseries and kids rooms in interior magazines. Casually stealing the show! Like our Artis the Partis in Floor's bedroom.

Do you also have this interior hero living in your home? I would love to receive a picture of your Artis de Partis styled in his usual spot for an Artis de Partis part II post. You can send it to metmelkensuiker@gmail.com.

counting my stitches

This week:
*I had a two day meeting with my HR colleagues in Noordwijk. Working while you can spent your breaks walking along the beach is just great
*I started our week off shopping with Sam to buy clothes, which felt like a special morning together
*and this weekend I started knitting a wool cap for Pip which is just one thing on my list of plans for this week :)
Wishing you a nice week with great plans!

I placed a pin on my I-wishlist board and received a comment where to buy this. A nice way to discover a great french webshop selling wooden accessories and kids stuff.
